My trip to peru

From glaciers to jungles…the country with over 3,000 types of potatoes and Incan ruins at every turn, Peru is a rich culture full of color and history.

Our 25 day trip to Peru was challenging, luxurious, and delicious. We experienced amazing scenery, cuisine, learned about Incan history, met great people, and pushed ourselves to our limits on a 5 day trek.

Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Peru.

I have never been to Peru, but my hub and I have gone on mission trips to different parts of Mexico in the past. I can relate about the toilet seat shortage! I was told about it, and prepared; I bought a seat and detached the lid, bought a school backpack that it fit in, and carried it (and Northern) EVERYwhere we went!!! The others on the trip had initially made fun of me, but came begging when the reality check kicked in!! LOL

The pics are awesome! Thanks for sharing!!

Wow what an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing your trip. I too, have always wanted to visit Peru, but as I get older I am worried about the altitude sickness. I noticed you posted the coca tea. Can I ask, did it help?

The tea does help, but it also helps to acclimate to the high altitude by starting at a lower city and then going to higher cities from there. And refrain from strenuous activities like hiking for a few days.
